Coleman Elementary would like to give a GREAT BIG SHOUT OUT, to the dads and father figures that brought our scholars to school on the first day! We had many volunteers to assist us with getting our scholars to class. Thank you to the Bailey Group, district and building leaders, board members, and the WCSD Senior Girls Basketball Team for gracing us with their presence yesterday. A special thanks to the men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated, for your community service. With everyone’s assistance, our first day ran smoothly because of you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

During Literacy Night, Coleman experienced a night of informative information from our presenter Mrs. Rule, from (Arts for Justice). Our very own Zayne read the book "Kenneth's Big Choice" to the audience.
This book teaches scholars about making decisions and justice through art.
Please join us at Coleman Elementary for Literacy Night!! Kenneth's Big Choice written by Kenneth Reams, a former student of Coleman, will be the highlighted book. See you at 5:30 in the cafeteria!
